Orchestra
By:Miranda Noble
Hello, and welcome to this nifty little page. This is where you will learn about a little class we call orchestra. This teaches children to play their cello, viola, bass, or violin. There is a 6th Grade Orchesta which rehearses is PrimeTime. There is a 7th Grade Orchestra which rehearses in 2nd Peroid. And last, but not least (duh) is the 8th grade Orchestra. They rehearse in 5th period. The 6th, 7th & 8th grade orchestras are all practicing for All City Orchestra concert. This is the largest concert of the year. Wait...there's something missing? Oh, yes! And the person who makes all of this happen is **Dun Dun Dun** Ms.Schnittgrund! The sixth grade orchesta is learning songs such as "Alley Cat","Russian Sailors Dance",and "Star Dancer". As you can see this is a very large class. They are learning things that they will take with them forever. Seventh grade is learing songs such as "Brandonburn No.5","Drifen"and"Pladio". Seventh grade is also learning how to tune their own instruments. As you can see, this is a smaller class than the 6th grade. The eighth grade orchesta is learing the same songs as the seventh grade. They are also learning more advanced shifting skills. This is a fun loving group of students, just enjoying their last year here, at West. There are also four girls who play the cello. This group of girls decided to call themselves The All Girl Cello Band! (Click the blue) The violins think that they're very cocky. The Band doesn't think so though. Liked this webpage?
