Spearfish Meet 7th and 8th only
The bus will leave West at 11:45 AM. You will need to bring a lite lunch to eat on the way to Spearfish. Keep the trash off the floor. No pop!!! Eat smart! Runners will be excused from class at 11:30. Change and meet in the long glass hallway by 11:40.

For all of our meets we will use a rolling start. That means each race will start 5 minutes after the preceding race. The starting times may be different than those listed. Labels - Before the race you must get a label from one of the coaches. When running a race you must have a label on your shirt. As you cross the finish line someone will take your label and place it on the results board. As always, you must wear the school uniform when running. |
Directions to the Meet: Take exit 12 and stay on Jackson Blvd. to Main Street. Take a RIGHT on Main and stay on Main/North Street until you come to Utah – take a LEFT (Burger King corner). Stay on Utah until you come to College Lane, approximately 1 mile, and take a LEFT. P & T Complex is about ¼ mile down the Lane.
Awards: Ribbons will be awarded to the first 15 places in each division.
Schools: The following schools have been invited to compete: Douglas, Belle Fourche, Hot Springs, Sturgis, Hill City, Rapid City Middle Schools, Seton, Gillette Twin Spruce and Sage Valley, Newcastle, Harding Country, and Spearfish.
Return trip: If you are returning to Rapid with your parents make sure you let one of the coaches know. You may not ride back to Rapid with a friends parents. The bus will return to West around 4:30 PM.
6th Grade Practice - Go for a run with a friend. On Wednesday let Mr. Knapp or Mr. Schumacher know which loop you ran.
