Committed to Children

Welcome to Valley View Elementary As Principal of Valley View Elementary School, I pledge to work with teachers, parents, and the community to create a learning environment in which children feel safe and have the opportunity to develop to their full potential. My vision for Valley View is to create a child-centered learning environment where we all work together to make a difference in the lives of “our” children. Together, we will create a child-centered school in which children are challenged, meet with success, become excited about the learning process, and become motivated to continue learning throughout their lives. 

My philosophy of education places children first.  Each child is an individual with individual interests, ways of learning, and potential for success. At Valley View teachers recognize these differences, get to know their children, and adapt their teaching to meet the individual needs of their students. Education is a life-long process; at Valley View, we will create an environment that promotes a child's natural curiosity so children can develop an attitude of excitement for learning. We will accomplish this by giving children real-life learning experiences in which students are challenged and meet with success. 
           
We want all members of the community served by Valley View to feel welcome.  We would like to see parents become actively involved in the educational process of our children.  We encourage parents to become volunteers in the school, having teachers and parents work together to help our children reach their highest potential.
