It's Not Just Turkey!

Using the Internet, you can find out that the first Thanksgiving wasn't just a turkey dinner. Learn more about the Pilgrims, the Native Americans, and what life was like in the 1600s. You might even discover that lobster was also on the menu!

WEEK TWO

2. Take a virtual tour of Plimoth Plantation, a living museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Pohots and drawings at both sites offer a glimpse of what life was like for the pilgrims who lived in this village in 1627. Compare the houses of 1627 with the houses of today. How is the clothing different? After viewing all of the photos, imagine that it is 1627 and you are living in Plimouth Plantation. Write a "Dear Diary" page or a short story telling about a day in your life on the Plimouth Plantation. HINT: You may want to list ideas you gather for your storywriting as you view the pictures.
