Dear Parents,

Thank you for returning so many nicely decorated valentines! Thanks to so many of you that helped with the Valentine's Day party!

During the month of March we will be working on recognizing the letters Kk, Qq, Oo, and Uu, and their sounds. We'll be focusing on the theme "Weather" for part of the month and "Ocean" for part of the month. The last week will focus on our 5 senses. We will also be working on recognizing numerals 11 - 20, geometry, making a (paper) quilt, celebrating Dr. Suess' birthday and St. Patrick's Day.

Attached please find a blank March calendar and a paper with a graph and weather symbols. Each morning have your child draw a picture symbol on the calendar for the weather that morning. Also color in the corresponding space on the graph paper. Keep track of the weather all month and return these on Friday, March 30th.

SeeSaw book orders will be sent in on Wednesday, March 7th. If you would like to order books, please have the money here by that date.

Since St Patrick's Day is on a Saturday this year, please have your child wear green on Friday, March 16th.

On Wednesday, March 28th, we will have a "tasting party". Please send something to school on that day for the children to taste. Please send in 14 (AM) or 16 (PM) pieces. (Example: If you would like to send in raisins, send 14 or 16, but if you would like to send in fresh pineapple, please cut it into 14 or 16 pieces before sending it in.)

March will be the last month for the "Book It" Pizza Hut Certificates.

There will be school on March 19th.

Report cards will be sent home on March 28th.
