The second principal of General Beadle Elementary
was Jim Meszaros. He was here for six and one half years, from
August 1970 to December 1975. "The teachers worked hard and
seemed to enjoy doing special projects with the students. The
basketball courts were new and the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th graders
loved playing basketball during recess. " Mr. Meszaros remembers
that the students were polite and respectful of adults and each
other. The students had good study habits and worked hard on their
school work. Mr. Meszaros liked being principal of General Beadle
Elementary because parents were very involved in PTA and school
activities. He enjoyed getting to know all of them. While Mr.
Meszaros was here, the library was moved from a small workroom
by the office to the nice sunny location that it is now. The students
and teachers loved the new, big library. "General Beadle
is a great school!"
