The third principal at General Beadle Elementary
was Harry Brenden. He was here for six and one half years from
January 1978 to 1984. When he was here, there were about 450 students
in grades K-6. There were also several other programs at General
Beadle, including: Title 1 Reading and Math, Bilingual Education,
Home Contact, and four special education classrooms. Classrooms
were much larger then, running up to twenty seven students in
grades K-3 and thirty students in grades 4-6. The students were
very polite while Mr. Brenden was here. He loved being principal
at General Beadle Elementary because he felt like he was doing
something worthwhile and the students needed him.
