The Rapid City Area Schools Test-Out Program is currently under revision in conjunction with the South Dakota Department of Education as part of a state-wide revision of End of Course examinations. An innovative process of making state-wide standardized tests that are directly aligned to state educational standards available on-line is underway and should be completed by the end of the 2007-2008 school-year. Rapid City Area Schools feels that this effort will ensure that when your student demonstrates competency through a test-out examination, that they will have demonstrated competency in the state standards the assessment measures. We will continue to explore test-out exams in content areas not being developed through the South Dakota Department of Education in an effort to afford our students as many opportunities as possible. Those subject areas that will have tests developed will be posted on this website as soon as those examinations are completed and endorsed by the state Department of Education.
