Greetings Corral Drive Families:

As another calendar year closes, I would like to thank all of the Corral Drive families for their generous gifts during the holiday season. It is always a humbling experience to receive such wonderful gifts from the children and families. I have to be careful and ration the amount of goodies I eat during the break or the students may not recognize the "Big" Mr. McNabb!

The month of December is often the most difficult for students, families, and staff. The month is full of excitement and routine is a forgotten component during the school day. However, I would like to commend the staff and students at Corral Drive for their concentration and commitment during this difficult month. The Christmas Sing provided smiles on the faces of the children (both old and young). I would like to thank Ms. Christie Leitchnam, Mr. Tim Sedig, Ms. Deb Knowles, and Mr. Chan Foresman for their hard work and dedication to make the Christmas Sing an enjoyable event for all involved. I would also like to recognize the staff at Corral Drive for their support and flexibility during program preparation.

Now that the winter recess has come and gone we continue this educational jouney into 2008 with successes balancing on the horizon. I encourage you to continue the support of your children's education development by keeping in contact with their teacher, asking questions as they arise, and keeping the school informed of any issues that may aide in the progress of your child. I look forward to the New Year at Corral Drive Elementary as we continue to be committed to excellence.
