I earned a Bachelor's degree in PE/Health and a minor in Biology from Black Hills State University, then received my Master's in Secondary Administration in May of 2001.

In 1992 I started teaching with Black Hills Special Services Cooperative in Sturgis, SD, then taught high school students at the Career Learning Center. This is my fifth year as an assistant principal at North Middle School.

I coached 9th grade football for Central High School for 10 years. I have also coached baseball, wrestling and track.

I have been married to Jeanne Hay for 9 years. We have a 6 year-old-son named Carter and a 3 year-old daughter named Ramsey Rae.
