STUDENT COLLEGE AND SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Where Do I Start?

Finding a scholarship, grant, or student aid can be a very trying task, especially if you don’t know where to begin. Check out all 4 steps on this website. In step 4 will be a listing of local scholarships available to you, so don’t forget to check out step 4.

Step1

Check out this website, get some ideas, and see your school counselor. He/she will be of great help to you when finding resources for your college education. Remember, it will be those students who are the most organized and treat finding scholarships with vigor and a “stick to it” attitude that will be rewarded with funds for college.

Step2

If you have decided upon a college or university, that school’s financial aide department will be a good resource for you. Contact the financial aid department and tell them what you are looking for. They should be of help to you for not only scholarship information, but also what steps you need to take to apply for financial aid. This information should be free to you. Also, check to see if there are any postings for student jobs while you are going to school.

Step3

This website will help you with links to financial aid and national scholarship information available to you. The following websites will help you in your search. Remember, although there can be applications, letters, and much correspondence attached to applying for a scholarship or grant, the rewards are great if you can land a one.
